During Monday's presser to elaborate on Lockdown 4.0, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao refused to answer a question posed by a journo. It's not known if he thought the question is contentious or silly, but the CM went beyond and sort of warned the journo.
A video clip of KCR's warning, where he is heard telling the journo to beware and behave himself, has been widely shared on social media. Since the CM trashed Narendra Modi's package during the presser, a large section of BJP supporters are using this clip to claim that the TRS supremo is intolerant of criticism.
Besides trolling, a lot of criticism has also been heard. Commenting on the issue, S Sudhir Kumar, a social media influencer, writes, "Are some questions by journalists really silly? Of course. Are some questions by journalists really motivated? Of course. But what justifies threatening journalists for silly questions? What justifies KCR wishing that some journos get Coronavirus? What justifies "Don't take panga with me"?"
"Days after Janata Curfew, KCR warned trolls for mocking Modi's call for clapping collectively. He asked the DGP to act against such people and arrest them. What is one to make of his criticism of Modi in harsh terms, then?" a Facebook user asked.
