Chetan Bhagat, who is known for the English-language novels like 'Five Point Someone' and 'Half Girlfriend', has come in for embarrassment. In May, he stated that India's vaccination program will be a failure for the coming few years. Putting the numbers in the form of an Excel sheet, the acclaimed novelist predicted that India will still be administering vaccine doses to its adults in 2023.

With more than 50 crore Indians receiving single-dose vaccination by August 31, 2021, Bhagat has been mercilessly trolled by Netizens. Several memes have been floated to mock his alleged lack of intelligence and expertise. With Bhagat claiming that his criticism of the Centre's vaccination policy has played a role in the government getting its act together, more trolling has been witnessed on Wednesday.

A Twitter user put out Brahmanandam's Gacchibowli Diwakar comedy scene where he takes the credit for the Indian cricket team winning the cup. Another Twitter user said, "All throughout Chetan Bhagat has been "attacking" Covishield and promoting Pfizer. Out of 65 crore Covid doses so far, 60 crore are Covishield." Getting sarcastic, columnist Ashu Muglikar quipped, "Spoke to two labourers at Serum Factory. They said, Chetan sir had posted an excel sheet to show vaccine pace in May. We were slow. We got motivated and worked 5x to speed up. They said thank you Chetan sir."
