Netizens in shock: Ravi Teja's heroine is 34 years younger

Ravi Teja is 54. Sreeleela is 20. They are the lead pair in 'Dhamaka', which is directed by Trinadha Rao Nakkina. Ever since their poster was released on Valentine's Day, many Netizens have been expressing shock.

Sreeleela was born in 2001, 11 years after Ravi Teja started playing small roles in movies. A Netizen pointed out that the pairing is looking unsettling.
But those who have no problem with such pairing are supporting the casting choice made by the director of 'Dhamaka'. There is nothing unethical about an actor romancing a very young actress. Sreeleela is a major and she has the right to take her own decisions, a Netizen said.
Such pairing is done across film industries and not just in Tollywood. Take 'Akhanda', for example. The age gap between Nandamuri Balakrishna and Pragya Jaiswal is 30 years. Their pairing did look unsettling for many. But there are others who didn't find it odd. It seems the latter is the majority, considering not many complained about the casting after watching the movie.
