The teaser of 'Vakeel Saab' was unveiled last evening. Soon after it was out, sections of Netizens have expressed their disappointment with the exclusive focus on Pawan Kalyan and his star persona in the teaser.
Fans of 'Pink', whose remake 'Vakeel Saab' is, are apprehensive that director Venu Sriram may have pandered to the huge image of Power Star. In doing so, he may have robbed 'Pink' of its soul and made the remake as a mass masala movie. "Where are the women?", is the question critics are asking. Nivetha Thomas, reprising Taapsee Pannu, Anjali and Ananya Nagalla are missing in the teaser.
As per several social media users, the teasers of 'Pink' and 'Nerkonda Parvaai' (the Tamil remake of 'Pink') didn't do this. Ajith, a superstar in Kollywood, didn't allow the story to be subsumed. But Pawan is accused of doing it. (Amitabh Bachchan was shown as a supporting character in 'Pink'.)
Everything said, we have to wait for the movie to release first. If the dialogues in the court scenes are as effective as they are in 'Pink', the essence of the Hindi-language original will have been retained to a good extent. It's certain that the first half of 'Vakeel Saab' has got those typical heroism-elevating fights (one or two of them). If the trauma of the female characters is shown as it is, it will at least be tolerable.
With music by Thaman, the Ugadi release has cinematography by PS Vinod.
