Netflix released the trailer for Season 4 of one of its biggest hits, Sex Education, previewing fans with a teaser: Get your tissues readyâlet's finish this together.
The British comedy depicts teen sex therapist Otis Millburn (Asa Butterfield) and his friends as they set off to high school in an odd new world. Meanwhile, Maeve (Emma Mackey), Otisâ first love interest, heads off to college in America. The eight-episode finale will air on Netflix beginning Sept. 21, when it will close out in an 83-minute series finale.
The first scene in the trailer has Otis and Maeve trying to make a long-distance relationship work. When Maeve sends Otis an awe-inspiring picture, he feels intimidated and does not want to send him back a reply picture. This season will also focus on how Otis finds out that there is another sex therapist at his new school, as well as how his mother deals with her baby.
The Season 4 storyline follows Otisâs anxiety about building his new clinic, while Eric hopes they wonât be outcasts again. Their brand-new college, Cavendish, turns out to be difficult for Moordale students with its well-progressive and âuntraditionalâ ways. It has daily yoga in a communal garden, greatly takes sustainability problems into consideration, and is home to the school's most popular bunch of individuals, who are widely liked because of their relentless acts of generosity.
The final season also adds Viv's non-competitive environment in her new college; Jackson trying to leave Cal behind; Aimee finding herself by pursuing new horizons through an Art A-Level; and Adam evaluating his own place in mainstream education, among other content. In the US, Maeve is off at the prestigious Wallace University to pursue her dreams as Otis grapples with feelings for his rival ex.
New cast members joining for the last time include Dan Levy of Schitt's Creek, Hannah Gadsby, Thaddea Graham, Lisa McGrillis, and more, while major returning stars include Gillian Anderson, Ncuti Gatwa, and Aimee-Lou Wood.
The bittersweet ending is a promise of more laughter, drama, and heart-filled moments for the fans as they bid goodbye to those characters that they have come to develop attachments with.
