Satyadev’s upcoming film Uma Maheshwara Ugra Roopasya is going to have a digital release and this is known. But the latest update is that Netflix has bagged the streaming rights of the film which has Venkatesh Maha as the director.
The film is jointly produced by Praveena Paruchuri and Baahubali film producers Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni of Arka Mediaworks. This film was slated for release on April 17 and the makers of the film are very pretty confident about the film winning audience’s hearts.
But unfortunately, the film will not make it to the theatres, and audiences have to adjust watching on their television and mobiles. This film is a Telugu remake of Malayalam blockbuster film Maheshinte Prathikaram, and has Fahadh Fasil in the lead role.
This is going to be a really good start to the industry as small films are going to make their way to OTTs. This gives hope to many other small films to hit the digital platforms.
There have been a lot of reports that Anushka Shetty’s Nishabdam would be the first Telugu film to hit digital platforms without a theatrical release. But to all our surprise, Uma Maheshwara Ugra Roopasya is going to be the first film.
