Actress Shraddha Srinath, who is known for her performance as Madhavan's wife and advocate in the 2017 blockbuster movie Vikram Vedha, besides also playing the female lead in Gautham Karthik starrer Ivan Thanthiran, is currently playing the lead role in H Vinoth's Ner Konda Paarvai.

The movie, which is the remake of Bollywood superhit Pink, will reprise the role played by Taapsee Pannu in the original, while Thala Ajith reprises Amitabh Bachchan's role. Pink's plot revolved around women facing sexual harassment, and was appreciated during its release, and is still a relevant theme.

In a recent media interaction, Shraddha Srinath said "It's sad that many don't realise the need for consent in relationships, and this can be attributed to lack of education, male chauvinism and lack of open mindedness. Though there's the pressure of matching to Pink, I did not see Ner Konda Paarvai as a remake. As a woman, I've tried to honestly play the role, and the presence of Ajith is an advantage, as audience listen and treat his words seriously, and when a star speaks of such issues in the society, it starts lot of conversations".
