Sushant Singh Rajput's death by suicide has been debated, with many attributing the cause of his depression to nepotism and deplatforming culture in Bollywood. Tamannaah Bhatia is only the latest celeb to express her views on the matter.
The 'Baahubali' and 'Sye Raa' actress says that favouritism is definitely a part of the film industry. At the same time, she tries to rationalize nepotism.
“My family has a lot of doctors and now if I had taken interest in the profession like my brother, they would have also guided me. Tomorrow, if my child wants to become an actor, I would do the same. That’s how it works, there’s nothing wrong in that," the star actress tells Hindustan Times.
She says that the likes of Shah Rukh Khan, who are complete outsiders, have attained legendary status in the industry without a background.
