It was a great treat for the fans of Ilayaraja, as the audio launch function of 'Neethanae En Ponvasantham', in Chennai on Saturday evening turned out to be an occasion to celebrate the 'Isaignani'.

Organizers of the event, led by Gautham Vasudev Menon the director of 'NEP', have ensured that the audio release function was a ride down the memory lane with unparalleled Ilayaraja music.

Celebrities like K Balachandar, Balumahendra, Bharathiraja, Suriya and R V Udayakumar shared their thoughts about Ilayaraja and their favourite songs were performed on stage.

Gautham, along with singer Karthik, anchored the show and the duo ensured that the event was an interesting package. Later, songs from 'Neethanae En Ponvasantham' were introduced to the audience by Suriya, Santhanam, Yuvan Shankar Raja, Na Muthukumar, Jiiva and Samantha.

The show started with 'Janani Janani...' by the maestro and it ended with 'Vaanam Mella...', of course, by the music legend. To put it short, it was Ilayaraja all the way at the event.
