Nenu Naa Rakshasi Music Review

Though Daggubati Rana made the debut through `Leader' and the film was a hit, the credit for the success had gone to Sekhar Kammula. After that, Rana played in a Hindi film `Dum Maro Dum'. His second film in Telugu is `Nenu Naa Rakshasi' directed by Puri Jagannath, who rewrote the history of the Telugu film industry with `Pokiri'. Once again, Puri banked on Ileana, the heroine of his blockbuster as the female lead in this film. `Nenu Naa Rakshasi' was produced by Nallamalupu Srinivas on the banner of Lakshmi Narasimha Productions. The film is all set for release on April 29. The speciality of the film is that three music composers worked for the film and two of them - Vishwa and Rahman - not only scored music but also penned the songs and one among them (Vishwa) even rendered songs. Anoop Rubens gave tunes basically.

Shankar Mahadevan's energetic voice coupled with electric guitar and rhythmic drum beat gives a feel of nodding the head and tapping the feet. The song which is a solo indicates that the hero is in search of the heroine who surprised him by appearing like a flash before his eyes some time ago. Though Rahman is a novice to the industry, he filled some kind of feel in the song. A good situational song and the female humming voice in the backdrop indicates the presence of the heroine like a shadow. The music directors completely tuned the song in a western style music.

This is yet another solo number. The speciality of the song is that Vishwa penned the lyric, rendered it in his voice besides scoring music for the movie. He basically used the keyboard and guitar as the main instruments in composing the tune and he might have thought that these two instruments would be enough for the song and finished the song with the help of drum beat. Occasionally, he used electrical guitar and gave the feel of listening to a song tuned by Ramana Gogula. In one way, the song also remind the audiences the latest Pawan Kalyan's film `Teen Maar', where we already hear `Chiguru Boniya'. Incidentally, that song was also penned and rendered by Vishwa and he is yet to come out of the `Teenmaar' effect.

This song was tuned with mass beat. Basically, the song indicates that it is an item number given the husky female voice in it. Whatever be the beat, the inner strength in the song is the use of words by the lyricist. Words like `Soke Tega Nachi. Kamudi Kachi. Sotta badda Bugg. Chinna Nadumu vodisi patti.' enhanced the mood in the song. Especially Geeta Madhuri did complete justice with her fantastic husky voice. The composition though appears a little old, would definitely attract the masses.

This number indicates the characterization of an individual. One had to take the life and things easy and enjoy the life as it comes as the destiny decides. The composer used Bass Guitar, besides drums and occasionally made use of trumpet in tuning the song. If one carefully listens to the lyric, it has lots of philosophy and has lots of inner meaning. But for masses, the beat in the song would impress the audiences. Bhargavi Pillai literally rocks in the song with her voice. A good mass number.

This number has nothing new to explain as it was already reviewed few minutes before. However, the remix number has a fast beat and the music director filled more energy in it with additional English words. The tempo and beat of the song was speeded up and nothing more new to talk about this number.

This theme song contains a humming in the backdrop with drumbeat in the beginning with a touch of keyboard sounds. However, when the second stanza starts, the music director used violins to keep the movement and the number doesn't indicate anything. Probably this sound might have been used while scrolling the titles of the film. When you listen it seriously, you will get a feel of watching a James Bond film in English.
