Social activist ‘Traffic’ Ramaswamy has opined that neither superstar Rajinikanth nor actor Kamal Haasan was fit to sustain themselves in the State’s politics.
The bespectacled Ramaswamy, who is also the president of ‘Makkal Paadhugappu Kazhagam’, was speaking to newsmen yesterday in Kumbakonam when he fielded with aplomb questions on wide-ranging topics. He predicted that the State would be brought under President’s rule before the ensuing Tamil New Year (14th April).
“Speaker Dhanapal doesn’t deserve to hold the post; his act of disqualification of 18 MLAs belonging to the Dinakaran faction was untenable. He apparently acted in a hurry and without applying his mind,” he said and added that Dinakaran came across as a ‘confident’ and ‘courageous’ individual who may succeed in his effots to bring under his control the entire AIADMK.
On another issue, Ramaswamy said that both Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan were unfit to be in politics in the State. “Both are always keen to get publicity on any issue; actors can only bring crowds to theatres to watch their films but can’t transform those crowds into votes. It won’t be easy to cheat the people of the State,” he observed.
