The trailer of Neeya 2, starring Jai in the lead, was released a while ago across social media. Written and directed by L. Suresh, the film comprises three female leads – Raai Laxmi, Catherine Tresa, and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar.

The trailer of the upcoming horror film began with the narration of a story from the Hindu mythology, detailing how Lord Krishna killed demon Kalinga who took the form of a serpent. The female characters in the story, all of whom were shown to transform into a viper, are apparently descendants of the serpent-turned-demon. The glamour manifested by the lead women is sure to entice the audience. The rest of the trailer portrayed a regular snake revenge drama, involving plenty of action. Even though the film is not a sequel to Kamal Haasan’s 1979 horror movie ‘Neeya,’ the multi-starrer seems to have shared similarities with the original movie in terms of the core plot.

Along with the four main characters, Neeya 2 also stars Bala Saravanan, who is expected to provide comic relief. Produced by Sridhar Arunachalam under the Jumbo Cinemas banner, Shabir has been roped in to compose the soundtrack of the film.
