Shilpa Shetty is an Indian actress majorly famous for her works in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu films. On Monday, Shilpa's husband Raj Kundra was arrested in an alleged porn films racket by Mumbai Crime Branch.
The police had described Kundra as the “key conspirator" of the case for the production of pornographic films, which was registered on February 4 at the Malwani police station in suburban Mumbai.
He was produced before the 37th metropolitan magistrate on Tuesday and remanded in custody till July 23. The police cleared that Shilpa Shetty has nothing to do with the allegations made on Raj Kundra. The cops further added that Raj Kundra was involved in the streaming of porn videos through his mobile app "Hotshots".
Today, The crime branch has recovered 70 videos shot by Raj Kundra’s former PA Umesh Kamat with the help of different small-time production houses. Besides these, 90 videos made specifically for the Kundra-owned ‘Hotshots’ app are being examined by the investigating team. Some are over 20 to 30 minutes long in duration, a source said.
Meanwhile, the lawyer of Shilpa Shetty's spouse has defended him by saying that it is what web shows are working on these days - vulgar content. He added that the clips cannot be classified as porn.
