Actress Nayanthara has had a tremendous 2015. Out of the four films she acted three were super hits. Her performance in 'Thani Oruvan', 'Maya' and 'Naanum Rowdy Dhan' were effective contributors to the success of those films.

The fact has been rightly acknowledged by the organisers of recently concluded 'Chennai International Film Festival'. Nayanthara has been appreciated with not one but two awards. She has got the Amitabh Bachchan Award for the Youth Icon and Director Balachander Award for the Best actress.

Out of the Tamil films which were screened under the competitive category, the critically acclaimed 'Kirumi' has won the award for the Best film while the yet to be released 'Radio Petti has won the award for the Second Best Film. Special Jury Award was given for 'actor R.Lakshmanan for his adept performance in 'Radiopetti'.

The K.Balachander award for Best actor has gone to Arvind Swami for his show-stealing performance in 'Thani Oruvan'.

Indiaglitz congratulates the award winners.
