Lady Superstar Nayanthara and ace filmmaker Vignesh Shivan who were in love for the past eight years got married on June 9th at a five star hotel in Mahabalipuram near Chennai. Superstar Rajinikanth officiated by handing over the mangal sutra while Shah Rukh Khan, Gauri Khan, Suriya, Jyothika,Karthi ,Vijay Sethupathi and his family, Shalini Ajith and her children, and Mani Rathnam were among the celebrities who attended.

Nayan and Wikki this morning visited the Tirupati temple as man and wife for the first time and offered prayers there and also participated in the marriage seva utsav. The ever pretty actress was wearing a stunning yellow saree while her loving hubby was in a traditional white shirt and dhoti.

It is said that photographers and videographer accompanied the couple and controversy arose that they were wearing footwear in a restricted area in the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam. However the temple management has clarified that the said spot was outside the Venkateshwara temple and devotees are allowed to wear footwear there.
