Priya Rajan made history after becoming the first Dalit woman to assume office as mayor of Chennai. At 28 she is also the youngest to do so and is hailed as an inspiration to other young women.
Meanwhile earlier today Priya Rajan met top actress Nayanthara at the Kaligambal temple in Chennai. The Lady Superstar visited the famous temple with her fiance director Vignesh Shivan.
It is said that Nayan had a brief conversation with Priya and congratulated her and also posed for pics with her. The couple are awaiting the release of their next film ‘Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kadhal’ on April 28th this year. The film has music by Anirudh and costars Vijay Sethputhi and Samantha.
