'Sye Raa' actress Nayanthara has recently been to Bhagavathi Amman temple in Kanyakumari and Murugan temple in Tiruchendur along with her fiance Vignesh Shivan. They offered their prayers and sought blessings of the residing deity. She also took to Deeksha ahead of the filming of a Tamil-language mythological in which the 'Bigil' actress will be seen as a Goddess.

During this devotional trip, Nayanthara got to meet former MP and BJP member Narasimhan in Tiruchendur temple. There is a rumour that he had invited Nayanthara to join BJP. When questioned about the meeting that happened with Nayanthara, Narasimhan has given his clarification.

Narasimhan has said that it was a coincidental meeting, and wasn't planned. As Nayanthara had recently welcomed the Hyderabad encounter and had said in her press release that laws must be made stronger to protect women, Narasimhan said her that laws have been made stronger in Modi's governance. He also requested Nayanthara to join BJP saying that if stars like her speak good things, it will reach the public.

Sources close to Nayanthara however say that the actress has no interest in politics, and she neither accepted his request nor reject it.
