Last week, during the pre- release event of the movie Paramapadham Vilaiyattu starring actress Trisha in lead role, producers Suresh Kamatchi and Amma Creations T Siva had come down heavily against Trisha for avoiding the promotions, and Siva had threatened to make the actress return half of her salary in case she does not cooperate for promotions.

In a similar way, Lady Superstar Nayanthara is another actress who does not attend the promotions of her movies, but she does not face any criticism for this. The reason is that, reportedly Nayanthara has a clause in her agreement for films that states clearly that she will not be attending promotions.

Even recently, for the promotions of Telugu movie Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy starring Chiranjeevi, Nayanthara avoided the promotions while another heroine Tamannaah was promoting, and even though the team wanted Nayanthara to promote, they could not take any action, as Nayanthara's clause protects her from criticism.

Fans of the actresses have been fuming over the recent speeches by producers against Trisha, as it has been said that the actress had clearly intimated of not participating in promotions, and now talks against her has happened. If the producers want the stars to promote, they must get the no promotion clause removed, or if they agree initially to the clause, they must make sure no false accusations are made on the stars on non cooperation for promotions.
