Director Alphonse Puthren's next movie 'Gold', starring Prithviraj and Lady Superstar Nayanthara, is preparing for a theatrical release on December 1. He is known for his previous films - 'Neram' and 'Premam'. The buzz is that there will be no trailer or songs released from Gold ahead of the release.

Alphonse Puthren himself has taken care of editing, stunts, animation, VFX, colour grading, screenwriting and direction in this project and he had decided to follow a unique promotional strategy. Gold will not have any new teaser or trailer prior to the release for promotional purposes. This makes the audiences go to the theatres with an open mind about the movie.

Interestingly, Alphonse Puthren's last film Premam didn't have a trailer before its release and it worked out very well when the audience caught the film on the big screens. Today, the team announced the release of a single song from the album like how they released only 'Pistah' from Neram and 'Malare' from Premam before the release. The first single will be the only promotional video we will be getting.

Also, the latest update is that the CBFC has issued a clean 'U' certificate for Gold. The runtime of the film is revealed to be 2 hours and 45 minutes (165 minutes). Produced by Prithviraj Productions & Magic Frames, 'Premam' fame music composer Rajesh Murugesan has scored music for the movie. Gold is slated to release in Tamil and Malayalam. The advance bookings are open now and the shows will start at 8 AM on Thursday.
