Nayanthara's next biggie to go directly to OTT and Television?

The coronavirus pandemic has turned the film business upside down and it is taking time to sink in that there is going to be a new normal not only how films are made but also how they are consumed. The threat of the disease is pretty eminent and until a vaccine comes into wide public use reopening of theaters and confidence of audiences getting inside them is a big question mark.

Suriya took a giant leap by selling his upcoming big film 'Soorarai Pottru' to Amazon Prime Video and the film is slated to stream from October 30th. It is whispered that many star films that are ready for release will follow suit one after the other.

The hot news in Kollywood right now is that the next major film that could hit the OTT platform is the Nayanthara starter 'Mookuthi Amman'. It is said that already Sun TV which as acquired the satellite rights of the film has planned to telecast it as Diwali special in November.

Basing on this info sources say that 'Mookuthi Amman' is expected to stream on a OTT platform pretty soon. However there is no official confirmation on this one and we will have to wait and watch if the film will stream soon or the team will wait till normalcy returns to release it in theaters.

'Mookuthi Amman' has Nayanthara playing a goddess while R.J. Balaji who is directing it also plays the male lead. Indhuja Ravichandran and Urvashi play other important roles in this Vels International Films production.
