Lady Superstar Nayanthara who was seen this year on screen in Viswasam, Airaa and Mr Local was supposed to have her fourth release of the year Kolaiyuthir Kaalam planned to release today, but the release of the movie has been postponed without further notice due to a legal issue.

Producer V Mathiyalagan who had brought the movie and had planned to release the movie in his Etcetera entertainment has revealed the reason behind the postponement. Initially the movie had faced huge controversy due to Radharavi's speech during the trailer launch and due to Vignesh Shivn's tweet that it was an incomplete movie.

However now the reason behind the delay was a case filed by a person named Balaji Kumar who has alleged that he holds the rights to the famous novel Kolaiyuthir Kaalam by Sujatha, and that the usage of the title for this Nayanthara starrer is a case of copyright infringement. Mathiyalagan is now fuming over a case of 10000 rupees being spent to get a stay over a film made on 12 crores.
