Lady Superstar Nayanthara already had three releases this year, of which the Thala Ajith starrer Viswasam which was released on Pongal festival turned out to be a blockbuster, while the later movies, the horror drama Airaa and Mr Local with Siva Karthikeyan ended flops.

Nayanthara was supposed to have her next release Kolaiyuthir Kaalam released last month itself, but following a stay sought by a person for copyrights issue, had pushed the release of the movie, and recently all issues were cleared and the team had announced a July 26 release.

However now yet again Kolaiyuthir Kaalam has been postponed and the movie directed by Chakri Toleti will now be releasing on August 1. Actress Jyotika will be having her second release of the year after Raatchasi, Jackpot releasing on August 2. It is to be seen who would win this clash at the box office.
