One actress who has truly earned the title 'Lady Superstar' is Nayanthara. The gorgeous diva, who is now the most sought-after heroines in South Indian cinema, has acted in films across all the four South Indian languages and has been tasting massive success over the past few years. Nayanthara made her big screen debut with the Malayalam film Manassinakkare directed by Sathyan Anthikad. The movie, which hit the screens on December 25, 2018, became a commercial success. The actress, who played a village belle alongside Jayaram, was lauded for her natural performance.
As you know, the actress' real and official name is Diana Mariam Kurian. But ahead of the release of the movie, it was the movie's director Sathyan Anthikad who suggested her to take up a stage name as Nayanthara. In a recent interview to us, the director revealed about how he approached the actress for Manasinakkare and how the name change happened. After seeing the actress in an advertisement, the veteran director approached her for acting. However, she turned down the offer, saying that she was not interested in acting, said Sathyan. He also said that even after gaining the superstar title, the actress is still down to earth and still continue to call and talk to him.
