Thenadal Studios announced their magnum opus, 'Sangamithra' directed by Sundar C at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival with Shruti Haasan in the titular role as a warrior queen and Jayam Ravi and Arya as the lead heroes. However due to creative differences, Shruti walked out of the film.

Now it is reported that the 'Sangamithra' team is keen on bringing Nayanthara on board and that negotiations have begun. There also reports from sources that a very high remuneration has been quoted to the lady superstar whose only reluctance is that the long duration of the production could affect her other projects. It is understood that if the required dates are very clear and if there is no problem in her shooting for other projects in the middle, Nayan could well be the new 'Sangamithra'.
