Nayanthara: 14 years of classy sizzling

  • IndiaGlitz, [Monday,December 25 2017]

It was on 25 December 2003 that 'Manassinakkare', a Malayalam-language family drama and Nayanthara's first movie, released. Fourteen years and many blockbusters later, the actress is still one of the biggest screen divas to watch out for.

In recent years, the beauty has risen in stature on par with the biggest heroes of South Indian cinema. When everybody thought she would quietly retire a few years back, the evergreen beauty continues to sizzle. 'Aramm' in Tamil is a lady-centric social drama that has fetched her as many laurels as did 'Sri Rama Rajyam' (Telugu) in 2011.

It's noteworthy that Nayan is one of the few actresses to have been paired up with all the Big 4 Tolly heroes of the previous generation.

Just to quote recent examples, if it was Nagarjuna in 2013 ('Greeku Veerudu'), it was Venkatesh in 2016 ('Babu Bangaram'). 'Jai Simha' with Balakrishna and, of course, 'Sye Raa' with Megastar Chiranjeevi, are her upcoming releases in Telugu.

Besies the above-mentioned Balayya film, in 2018, Nayanthara will be seen in 'Imaikka Nodigal', 'Kolamavu Kokila' and 'Kolaiyuthir Kaalam' in Tamil.
