The Lal Jose super hit Malayalam film ‘Meesa Madhavan' was a special one due to many reasons. It was the film which established Dileep’s popularity at the box office. It created the hit pair of Kavya Madhavan and Dileep, who were seen in 12 more films, there after. It was also through this film that Jyothirmayi and singer Rimi Tomy made their mark in Mollywood.

The reason why the film is again in discussion is that, after seven years of its release, Kollywood had suddenly got a liking for the film ‘Meesa Madhavan' and they are planning to remake it in Tamil. Nayantara and 'Paruthi Veeran' fame Karthi were the first ones to approach to play the lead.

But the latest news suggests that Nayantara is finding the role of Kavya in the film a bit heavy. She suggests that she will be happy enough to appear in the role that Jyothirmayi had done in the original.
