'Sri Rama Rajyam', the Tamil version of Balakrishna-Nayanthara starring Telugu film of the same title, will not hit the screens on April 13 as planned. Its release has been postponed to the last week of April.
According to Kiran, who is producing the Tamil version, the ongoing strike in the industry, due to a tussle between producers and workers over wages, has disrupted the dubbing works of the movie.
"Hence we have decided to delay the release of Sri Rama Rajyam at least by a week. The audio was launched a few days ago and songs by maestro Ilayaraja are well received. We are expecting a similar reception to the film," he says.
Directed by ace Tollywood filmmaker Bapu, the film has Akkineni Nageswara Rao, K R Vijaya, Roja and others in lead roles. Based on the great epic Ramayana, 'Sri Rama Rajyam' was a hit in Andhra Pradesh.
