Actress Nayanthara`s first horror flick Maaya` which was earlier supposed to release on July 24 has now been postponed to the first week of August.

The film, directed by debutante Ashwin Saravanan, is being released by the prestigious banner Sri Thenandal Films, in Tamil Nadu. They have announced that since the Tamil-Telugu bilingual Baahubali` is still running to packed houses in all the screens it was released they are postponing the release date- a decision which will benefit the collections of both the films.

Maaya` has Nayanthara playing the lead role as a mother in pursuit of her lost child. The film stars Aari, Lakshmi Priya and Robo Shankar in important roles.

The makers prefer to have a simultaneous Telugu release owing to Nayan`s popularity among Telugu speaking audience. The Telugu dubbing works are on full swing to meet the deadline.
