Nayanthara is playing an interesting character, that of a documentary filmmaker, in Krishnam Vande Jagatgurum, a Tamil-Telugu bilingual which marks the debut of pan Indian hero Rana Daggubati in Kollywood.

"It's an action adventure. Rana is a theatre artist, while Nayan is a docu filmmaker. Though their approach towards life is different, they have to travel together at one point of time," says Krish, who is directing the movie.

The film is being made as a Tamil-Telugu bi-lingual. Krish is not new to Kollywood as his 'Vaanam' starring STR made an impact here. "For the first time, I am directing a film in two languages simultaneously. I am happy about it," he says.

Bollywood actor Milind Gunaji is the villain, while Santhanam is there to provide comic relief. The film's climax was recently shot at Binny Mills in Chennai.
