In the debut direction in Kannada PC Shekar is promising in his technical know-how. On the screenplay and entertainment part he should have been careful. With a good beginning the reels in the forest makes it boring for the common audience. Again in the end he gives some stunning action scenes. The pep required for masses is missing. Shekar has the style but not the substance that is very essential.

However the new macho hero Naveen is the contribution to Kannada cinema. Ragini is already popular and she has the absolute screen presence.

The story line is very thin. The lovers get separated and how they are united is the crux of this film. There is struggle in it as Arjun (Naveen) traces his lover Madhu (Ragini) against all odds. He has made a promise to protect her throughout his life. Nagappa the fugitive like Veerappan kidnapped Madhu. He wants the water for his people of Andalapatti. That is his demand from the government in Karnataka.

Going deep into the forest dominated by Nagappa (Nan Kadavul Rajendran) is a dangerous task for Arjun. Appreciating the strength of Arjun it is Nagappa who invite for a battle. The macho Arjun puts down the strength of Nagappa and his men with efficiency and gets his lover Madhu back to safety.

Ragini is a treat to watch on the screen goes missing in most of the reels in this film. Naveen as Arjun is the new discovery to cinema looks completely in control. He has good future. Nan Kadavul Rajendran is once again fearsome in his role. Rajendranath as another cop is OK.

Pravin Dath Stephen Bhumi Sutto Nanna Style...Jeeva Nanna Jeeva Elli Mareyadhe..are good numbers. Arjun the music director of Kannada cinema doing the background score is very absorbing. Some time only the background score we get to hear is well conceived.

The cinematography by Murali Krishna is very neat and tidy. The greenery of the forest captured and action blocks have come out well.

Score - 6/10
