Nawazuddin Siddiqui still doesn't have time to spare in 2022

The emergence of OTTs has given a career boost to actors like Manoj Bajpayee, Pankaj Tripathi etc. Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who also belongs to the same list, is one of the busiest actors in the industry as he has around 4-5 films lined up for production. During a conversation with Bollywood Times last year, Nawaz had talked about taking it slow in 2022 but it seems like he's struggling to keep that promise to himself.
According to a latest report in ETimes, the actor said, I know that in 2021 I had said that I would like to slow down, but in 2022 meri bahut saari filmein line up ho gayi hai. I have turned down a lot of projects, but there are four-five films that I will be wrapping up this year. My problem is that the moment I like a script it gets hard for me to refuse it. If a script, which is character-driven, has depth and explores a different mindset, then I surrender to it.
Nawaz then went on to share that he doesn't really like taking long breaks or vacations from work. He said, The thing is that the moment I step onto a film set, I start enjoying myself. I see people taking a break from work and going on vacations in the mountains or by the beaches, but mera kabhi aisa nahi hota hai. I find peace in work. It is through work that I enjoy my spiritual journey.
