In last few months, actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui has expressed his displeasure towards OTT shows on multiple occasions and according to latest developments, he has decided to not work in them from now on. Although he took his career to another level by starring in the Netflix show 'Sacred Games', Nawazuddin is bothered by the oversaturation of content in the OTT entertainment space.
The actor told Hindustan Times, "Today, there are many web series being made. Because of the marketing and public relations machinery that goes into promoting them, har series ki tareef ki ja rahi hai. This causes a lot of confusion about which series are truly good and which aren’t."
Nawaz further added that he's going to avoid web shows but he's still open to work in web films. "A lot of actors have now forayed into that space, but I’m not someone who believes in herd mentality. Mera zameer yeh gawaara nahin karta. Having said that, I’m open to doing web films because it gives an actor a global platform," said the actor.
As of Nawazuddin Siddiqui is working on films like 'Adbhut', 'Heropanti 2', 'Tiku Weds Sheru' and few more.
