Nawazuddin Siddiqui differentiates between heroes  and  actors

In Bollywood, there is usually a huge difference between popular mainstream stars and skilled actors. Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who has contributed a lot in revolutionizing Indian cinema in recent years, recently explained how a typical "hero" differs from an actor. He was having a conversation with Aaj Tak when he shared that a hero relies on his physical appearance while an actor relies on his skills to impress the audience.

Nawaz shared, "Ye koi bhi bata dega ki hero ka waqt hota hai, actor ka koi waqt nahi hota. Actor puri zindagi acting karta hai. Wo alag alag kirdaaron mein nazar aata hai (Anyone can tell you that heroes have a shelf life, not actors. Actors can act for their entire lives, he is seen in various characters).”

He further explained his point by adding, "Rahi baat hero ki, to jab tak uske dole-shole, pump-vump rehte hain, tab tak wo theek hai. Jaha pump ki hawa nikli, to wo gayab ho jata hai (As far as heroes are concerned, they are fine til their bodies look great. Once that goes, he disappears)"

Nawazuddin recently made headlines after bagging an Emmy nomination for his performance in the film 'Serious Men'. His upcoming projects include 'Jogira Sara Ra Ra', 'Tiku Weds Sheru', 'Heropanti 2' and others.
