Nandita das recently revealed the working experience of making the movie ‘Manto’. The feature ‘Manto’ is the biography of the famous Pakistani writer Saadat Hasan Manto helmed by Nandita Das.

Nandita Das, the actress and contemporarily a director, unveiled that the lead of the film Nawazuddin Siddiqui just charged 1 rupee for his roles. Besides the actor, the other artists of the film like Rishi Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, Ranvir Shorey, Divya Dutta and Javed Akhtar also received no remuneration, apparently revealing the fact that there are performers who value good scripts to money.
