Navya opposite Mammootty

Navya Nair will now play the lead role opposite Mammootty. The actress, who is evincing keen interest in playing the lead roles in offbeat films in Tamil cinema has been cast opposite Mammootty for movie to be directed by Padhmakumar later this year.

Navya Nair is currently acting in a Tamil movie Mayakkannadi. Also her Aadum Koothu was screened at the International Film Festival, which won her enough laurels.

Keen to do performance-oriented roles, Navya Nair is one of the rare breed of actress from the God's Own Country who stays away from glamour.

"It is not my forte. I want myself to be remembered as an actress who does various kinds of roles", she says.
