Actor Navdeep has been roped in to play an important role in Ram Charan's next. The 30-year-old actor is upbeat about joining Surendar Reddy's prestigious film, tentatively titled as Dhruva. "Happy to be on board Charan's #dhruva :) lets see what comes out of this," Navdeep said on Twitter. Sounding optimistic, he even used the hashtag #oldwaysdontopennewdoors, suggesting that he is set to re-invent himself in the role of Charan's friend in this big-ticket Dasara release.
A remake of the Kollywood hit Thani Oruvan, the film sees Cherry playing a cop's role. Navdeep is playing Cherry's fellow IPS officer. He is said to be reprising either Ganesh Venkatraman or Harish Uttaman's role from the original. As Navdeep has no trivial presence in this flick, he can hope to bank upon this prestigious venture.
In the past, Navdeep shared screen space with another Mega hero, Allu Arjun, in Arya2. He has since repeated this with the Siddharth-starrer Oh My Friend, and NTR's Baadshah. RGV's Ice Cream didn't change his sagging fortunes. What RGV failed to do, one hopes Surendar will accomplish.
Starring Rakul Preet Singh, this one has Arvind Swamy reprising himself from the original.
