On the eve of the release of Puli`, the first modern fantasy adventure film of Tamil cinema we have some exciting tidbits to share from the ace cameraman Natty Natraj about the unique style with which the film has been shot, following the German Expressionism adapted by such Hollywood greats like Alfred Hitchcock (Psycho ) and Tim Burton ( Batman Forever) and more recently James Cameroon in the gargantuan hit Avatar`.

The Expressionism technique uses special sets, special lighting and unusual camera angles to tell the story and is mostly been used in the horror genre by many filmmakers in world cinema but after Avatar` it is in Illayathalapathy Vijay`s Puli` that it has been extensively used for a fantasy adventure. Looks like Tamil cinema fans are in for a brand new viewing experience.
