Cinematographer Natty Natraj who has worked with Illayathalapathy Vijay in Youth` and now in Puli` shooting for seven months was all praise for the superstar. He said that Vijay has remained humble and grounded and is the same person he was in Youth`, but his talent as an actor he has grown by leaps and bounds and is amazing to watch. Almost all days, after he finishes a shot, it seems that it had become normal practice for the crew and the 200-odd junior artistes to stop and clap.

It seems that when the Arakkonam schedule of Puli` finished, Vijay had turned completely dark because of the continuous shooting in the sun. Natty feels that eventhough Illayathalapathy has such a mass fan following he is still underrated as an actor for he is so dedicated and sets an example to everyone on the sets.

About the Puli` experience Natraj said "Dedicated cast and crew. Extremely talented director and of course, Vijay sir. I couldn`t have asked for a better project!"
