Veteran Actor Nasser has won so many laurels and awards for his performance in films. He is soon going to get the prestigious' Doctor' title.
The Vel's University has announced the honarary doctorate for Nasser as a fitting recognition for his contribution for cinema.
Nassar made his acting debut in the 1985 Tamil film 'Kalyana Agathigal' directed by K.Balachander. In a career spanning 31 years he has acted in hundreds of films in Tamil. Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi and English films. He has also directed a handful of films that includes the critically acclaimed 'Avatharam' and 'Devathai'. He has also produced films. He has worked as voice over artist and he dubbed for Nedumudi Venu in the blockbuster Kamal Haasan starrer 'Indian'. He has ventured into playback singing in a few occasions and has also appeared in Television serials and programmes.
Apart from his artistic contribution to cinema, Nasser is now leading the Nadigar Sangam as its President and he has been actively spearheading various measures for the welfare of its members who are actors by profession.
