The news of a 39 year old woman opening fire at YouTube headquarters in San Bruno has created shock. Even Google’s Sundar Pichai sent out a heatwarming note to employees showing his support. Now it has been revealed that the woman Nasim Aghdam’s videos were ‘discriminated and filtered’ by YouTube.
In addition to this it should be noted that Nasim had several YouTube channels in which she posted about subjects on animal rights and veganism. As of now, her channels have been removed though. Reportedly, Nasim was upset with the practices and policies of YouTube. It is also worth mentioning here that social media giant Facebook has taken her profile off the site as is does with all mass shooters.
Apart from stating that YouTube filtered her videos from getting views, Aghdam had also stated that there was no equal opportunity to earn in YouTube's platform. Reportedly Aghdam’s social media posts are rampant with comments against YouTube and their policies. As of now, Google hasn’t come out with an official statement pertaining to Nasim.
