Yesterday, during the shoot of Indian 2 in EVP film city, an unfortunate accident lead to the death of three of the crew members, and many were injured and have been admitted in hospitals. Director Shankar, Kamal Haasan and Kajal Aggarwal had a narrow escape from the accident.

Costume designer Amritha Ram who was in the sets, tweeted about the horrible moment "Providential escape from the ghastly mishap .Literally 10secs away from being crushed under.fortunate Kamal sir ,Kajal n me who were right under are safe #count your blessings our crushed canopy under the crane . we are #safe RIP our fellow mates @ikamalhaasan @MsKajalAggarwal".

Makeup professional Seema Tabassum Khan who survived the accident tweeted "Survived a major accident today with @ikamalhaasan @MsKajalAggarwal shattered mentally it was fraction of seconds in wch we jumped out of our tent nd we turn back & see our chairs were crushed by a huge cran here are some photographs , but it’s unfortunate we lost 3 friends RIP".
