Naresh Vs Sivaji Raja: MAA controversy continues

Naresh, who recently won the MAA President elections, has come out in the open regarding an issue with Sivaji Raja, the outgoing President. He has alleged that the outgoing office is not letting the new office work.

"As a General Secretary in the previous term, I briefed the media about the irregularities at the MAA. Today, I am placing proofs in front of the media regarding irregularities regarding MAA's life insurance scheme. I didn't want to bring this issue to the media but I had no option. There have been pending cheques to be issued. If he (Sivaji Raja, whose term as President will end soon) wants to stay put till the end of the month, let him do so," Naresh said.

"There are a few other issues at MAA. I am not ready to talk about them publicly. MAA shouldn't be reduced to a political party-like situation. Even when I was depressed as GS, I gave full cooperation to Sivaji Raja all for the sake of MAA," he added.

"When Sivaji Raja's panel raised concerns over MAA election counting, we all stayed back at this office till 4 am to make sure that the counting process is above board," Naresh claimed.

Dr. Rajasekhar urged that the new office-bearers should be allowed to function smoothly. "Machinations are not good. Let us forget everything. Past is past. Let's function with unity. If you want, we will start working from April 1," he said.

Jeevitha Rajasekhar said, "The elections were held in a transparent way. We have gone through lots of tension regarding the life insurance issue. Many industry people have felt happy that I, a woman, have run for this important post."
