Naresh, Pavitra Lokesh become brother-sister type characters

'Ramarao On Duty' was released in theatres today and a strange occurrence is that the VK Naresh-Pavitra Lokesh scenes invited laughter and whistles from the audience. The reason is amply clear. Naresh and Pavitra have been believed to be in a relationship. Last month, they were in the news over a hotel fiasco, where Naresh's third wife Ramya Raghupathi tried to drag them both into a mess when they were staying at a hotel in Mysore.

Given the nature of the controversy, the Naresh-Pavitra duo has been strongly lodged in the audience's mind. Interestingly, they both make a joint appearance in a scene in today's theatrical release. They both are relatives and are like siblings. Pavitra played Ravi Teja's mother, while Naresh played heroine Divyansha Kaushik's father. As 'viyankulu', they are siblings.

Whenever they entered the screen, the hall erupted in laughter. The audiences' reaction proves that, in the era of 24/7 news channels and YouTube, juicy controversies are reaching everyone. There was a time when controversies related to only big names used to have a strong recall value.
