Megastar Chiranjeevi has been feted with the IFFI Indian Film Personality of the Year Award for 2022 by the Indian government. Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Anurag Singh Thakur made the announcement on Sunday.

A while ago, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to Twitter and appreciated Chiru's illustrious career. "Chiranjeevi garu is remarkable. His rich work, diverse roles and wonderful nature have endeared him to film lovers across generations. Congratulations to him on being conferred the Indian Film Personality of the Year at IFFI," Modi wrote.

Quote-tweeting the same, Chiru said that he is immensely honoured and humbled. He said that he is grateful to Modi for the kind words.

Modi also surprised Chiru's fans by writing a Telugu-language tweet.

Meanwhile, the first single from 'Waltair Veerayya', titled 'Boss Party' will be out on November 23 at 4:05 PM. The Bobby Kolli directorial, produced by Mythri Movie Makers, will hit the screens for Sankranthi 2023.
