The Naren-Shrushti Dange-Soori starrer 'Kathukutty' which was supposed to release on

October 1 could not release on the date due to a last minute High Court order staing the release of the film.

The film's release was stayed as a financier who had lent money for the production of the film approached the Court alleging that the Producer did not repay the money due to him before the film's as laid down in the contract.

But now the film's producer R.Ramkumar seems to have paid the due amount of Rs.56 Lakhs in the Court and hence the stay has been vacated by the Judge.

As a result 'Kathukutty' directed by debutane Era.Saravanan will be hitting the screens on October 9, that day after tomorrow. The film has been praised by senior politician Vaiko and veteran director Bharathir Raja and also media persons who have watched the film in special screenings.

Other films releasing this weekend are Bobby Simha-Mirchi Siva starrer 'Masala Padam' and 'Andhadhi' a Tamil cop film with newcomers.
