Amid 'Puli' fever another Tamil film's release banned today

A small budget film 'Kathukutti' which has evoked positive reviews from the special show for Press persons held yesterday was ready for release today along with Ilayathalapathi Vijay's 'Puli'.Even the morning newspaper carried advertisements stating that the film releases today.

But now a Madras High Court order has come midway and likely to block the release. A person Anwar Kabir claiming had filed a case in the HC stating that Ramkumar the producer of the film had received money for the film has announced the release of the film without repaying his money there by violating the terms agreed in the contract entered between the two.

The Judge has passed an interim order restraining the release of 'Kathukutti' for two weeks and the film could not be released without paying the money due for the petitioner.

The film can be released as soon as money is paid however.

'Kathukutti' stars Naren, Shrushti Dange and Soori in important roles and the film has been directed by debutante R.Saravanan
