Many of the people in the industry and fans followed the eye donation after death ever since Nethra Daana` done by Dr Rajakumar on April 12, 2006. The eyes of Dr Rajakumar were donated and like what he said Nethra Daana Mahadaana` the queues built up near eye hospital for eye donation.

Dr Rajakumar wife noted producer Dr Parvathamma Rajakumar eyes were also donated after demise on 31st of May 2017. With such a noble thought, the first one to follow on eye donation after death is actor, producer, director S Narayan who is close to Dr Rajakumar family.

Now with the demise of Dr Parvathamma Rajakumar and donation of two eyes to Narayana Nethralaya, S Narayan voluntarily reached the office Dr Bhujanga Shetty of Narayana Nethralaya and signed on the dotted letter for donation of eyes.
S Narayan was accompanied by his wife Bhagyavathi, daughter and son in law at this moment to the hospital.
