Released on November 25, Nara Rohit-starrer Solo has completed 100 days. Director Parusuram says that though it released as a small film, it has turned out to be a big hit. The director of Yuvatha says that Solo is his second 100-day film. He said that all the big films released subsequently could not dent the market of Solo. The audience have once again proved that a good story, coupled with family values, will be liked by one and all. The film worked because of mouth publicity. He feels encouraged after the success of Solo.
The film is the debut of Nisha Agarwal, Kajal's sister. The film explored new ground in terms of responsibly delineating the psyche and emotions of a heart-broken lover, who will not abandon his convictions come what may.
It got positive reviews, and its strengths were the dialogues and theme. Parusuram scored some brownie points by skilfully interspersing evocative dialogues in the narrative. This worked in the second half to a good great extent in making the audience empathize with the battered soul. Rohit's character, which espouses a love-and-family agenda was refreshing. The subject grows on the audience as the film progresses towards the end in the second half. This is caused in no mean measure by well-etched sequences involving Rohit and Prakash Raj.
