'Shankara', the Nara Rohith-Regina Cassandra starrer is an action thriller directed by Tatineni Sathya Prakash of 'Bheemili Kabaddi Jattu' and 'SMS' fame.

Even as Nara Rohith is bracing up for the release of 'Jyo Achyuthananda' and 'Appatlo Okadundevadu', this is a third one. A remake of the Tamil hit 'Mouna Guru' (whose Hindi remake 'Akira' is set to hit the screens on Sept 2), it has Regina Cassandra in the lead role.

The movie tells the story of a youngster who reacts to the wrongs around him. When he is put in a hostel, he gets embroiled in a crime not of his making. The film was completed two years ago, but could not see the light of the day.

'The trailer was played during the interval in theatres playing Janatha Garage`. 'Nara Rohith`s fresh look and acting and Regina`s glamour are going to be a great attraction. An action thriller, our movie has John Vijay of Kabali` fame, Rajeev Kanakala, Rajeshwari Nayar and others in important roles', the makers say.

Produced by RV Chandramouli Prasad and MV Rau under Sai Leela Movies, it has music by Sai Karthik. Cinematography is by Surendar Reddy. The movie is slated for a Sept 16 release.
