Nara Rohit marks his landmark 20th film with a fresh venture, teaming up with debut director Venkatesh Nimmalapudi for an entertaining rom-com. Produced by Santhosh Chinnapolla, Gowtham Reddy, and Rakesh Mahankalli under the banner of Sandeep Picture Palace (SPP), this film promises to be a delightful ride, brimming with colorful nuances that resonate with every individual.
The makers unveiled the charming title "Sundarakanda" along with the first look poster, showcasing Nara Rohit in a suave and stylish avatar, holding a plant with a pot in one hand and a book in the other. The backdrop features college students strolling in the opposite direction, setting the tone for the film's youthful vibe. Adding to the excitement, the film's release date is set for September 6th, coinciding with Ganesh Chaturthi (Sep 7th).
Sundarakanda draws inspiration from the fifth book of the Hindu epic Ramayana. The choice of unveiling the first look poster on Sri Rama Navami adds a touch of auspiciousness to the project, setting a positive tone for its reception.
Vriti Vaghani takes on the lead actress role, while Sri Devi Vijay Kumar, Naresh Vijaya Krishna, and Vasuki Anand are set to play crucial roles, adding depth to the ensemble cast.
Pradeep M Varma handles the cinematography, promising visually captivating scenes, while Leon James lends his musical talents to the project. Sundeep serves as the executive producer, ensuring smooth production, with Rajesh Pentakota as the Production Designer and Rohan Chillale as the Editor, ensuring a seamless cinematic experience. In the meantime, Nara Rohit is awaiting the release of his upcoming project Prathinidhi 2.
The film which is the sequel to his hit film Prathinidhi is slated for a spectacular release on 25 April 2024. Expectations are high as the film is a hard hitting political entertainer and is releasing when the political heat is high in two Telugu states ahead of the elections.
